CAMP HISTORY 

Dan KOSMOSKI is in his 17th year as head basketball coach at st. Olaf college in Northfield, Minnesota.

"Koz" grew up in Owatonna and earned 10 varsity letters in high school: basketball, football, and track.

COACH Koz went on to play BASKETBALL for the University of Minnesota golden gophers. HIS gopher TEAM earned a 24-3 overall win-loss record and had a 15-3 record in the big ten. He graduated from the university of Minnesota with A master'S degree in education.

Koz began his career as an Assistant Coach At Golden VallEy Lutheran Junior College UNDER Flip Saunders And Steve dove. He helped lead the running royals to a trip to the NJCAA championship
with a perfect 26-o record under coach saunders.  

Koz was An assistant coach at the university of minnesota for nine years, koz's tenure included the 1989 ncaa "sweet 16" the 1990 ncaa "elite 8" and several nit 93-championship appearances. 

IN 1994 KOSMOSKI BECAME HEAD COACH AT ST. OLAF.  THE OLIES 1997-98, 2002-03, AND 2006-07 TEAMS GAINED M.i.A.C. PLAYOFF BERTHS WINNING THEIR FIRST PLAYOFF GAME. 

KOZ IS PROUD OF HIS MINNESOTA HERITAGE AND THE CHANCE TO PLAY-BALL THROUGHOUT HIS GRADE-SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGIATE CAREER.  HE LOVES BEING A basketball COACH AND PROUD OF THE EDUCATION AND SPORTS FACILITY AT sT. oLAF.  wE ARE HAPPY TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH YOU!   

cOACH KOZ and his wife ellen, RESIDE IN EDINA.  HE IS AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF MT.OLIVET LUTHERAN CHURCH.  MUSKIE FISHING IS HIS FAVORITE SPORT WHEN NOT ON THE COURT.  THE SUMMER OF 2009, COACH KOZ had the opportunity to run a SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP IN LITHUANIA and this summer koz will be instructing youth basketball in poland.
